Who is the master class for?

Whether you’re part of an in-house team, an agency or an independent contractor, MarketWise Academy’s master class is for:

  • Graphic designers who want to lead design conversations in a language that marketers and business leaders value.
  • Digital media designers who want to boost sales by broadening their design skills to include physical touch points such as direct mail and packaging.
  • Marketing managers, directors, and coordinators who want to lead their teams with evolving edge strategic thinking.
  • Brand managers who want to connect better with their customers.
  • Entrepreneurs who want to talk directly to their customers to grow sales, build brand loyalty, and increase their company’s value.

Is the class in-person or virtual?

We hold in-person or virtual master classes in an informal, small, classroom-style environment. Class sizes vary, but we always cap the course at 100 (live) or 40 (virtual) students to keep it small enough to meet everyone but large enough to have various perspectives in our discussions.

Is the class all day?

For in-person classes we meet in a day-long format. Doors open at 7:30 am; class runs from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. For virtual master classes, we split the program into 2-hour or 4-hour segments over a few days.

Will the class be recorded?

In-person classes are not recorded, but virtual classes are—with the opportunity for registered attendees to revisit the recording for a period of 2 weeks after the virtual class.

How many people attend the class?

Class sizes vary depending on the space, but we hold the in-person or virtual master classes in an informal, small, classroom-style environment. Do you offer a Master Class for colleges and universities?

We know it’s important to mentor not only current marketing and design leaders but also future leaders. With this in mind, when we host a master class, we will work with local undergraduate or graduate programs in those cities. If you are an educational institution, please contact us at if you’re interested in exploring this.


Is the class recorded?

Virtual classes are recorded and registered attendees can revisit the recording. 

Where do I find my link to join the class?

When you or your organization register for a class, you will receive many helpful emails from us. But if you are late to register or those emails get lost in your email jungle, do not despair! We always send an email to everyone the day before class begins that includes a Zoom link to join.


What should I wear?

For in-person classes, the dress code is business casual, but honestly, we just want you to be comfortable for the day. So, if jeans (or fancy dresses!) are your thing, those work just as well. You do you. We’ll do our best to manage the room temperature, but we suggest that you bring a sweater or dress in layers as event rooms tend to have uneven heating, and there is nothing worse than being cold or hot all day long.

Do you serve lunch or snacks?

Lunch and snacks are included in your tuition; however, you are welcome to bring your own food if you prefer. There will be boxed lunches, and we’ll have filtered water, hot coffee, and tea all day. Psst! There’s even a chocolate break. If you have special dietary needs, please contact as soon as possible, and we should be able to accommodate you.

What do I need to bring?

We’ll give you a notebook with your class materials, but you’re welcome to bring your favorite note-taking device – laptop, pen, and paper, etc. Be sure to bring a jacket or sweater in preparation for unpredictable room temperatures.

Do you take walk up registrations?

Space is limited, and we’d hate to have to turn you away if we are at capacity. It’s best to register early.

What are your COVID-19 Precautions for in-person classes?

Our goal is to make you feel as safe as possible while you have a memorable, enriching experience. Please contact us at with any questions or concerns you may have.

  • To mask or not to mask? If it’s required in the city or venue where an in-person class is taking place, it will be required in our master class. If masks are not required, they will always be optional for any attendee.
  • Shake, hug, or fist bump? Some people will not be comfortable touching someone else. You do you, and others will too.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the space, and we recommend cleaning your hands often.

What if I am sick on the day of the master class?

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have a fever or are showing any other potential symptoms of COVID-19, the flu, or a bad cold, please stay home and contact us at to initiate a credit toward a future class or a transfer.


How can I join the MarketWise Academy LinkedIn group?

Once you have attended a Master Class, you will receive an invitation to join the group.


How can I be notified about upcoming classes?

If I cannot make it on the date, will there be other classes?

Yes, thanks for asking! We will frequently be adding cities throughout the year, and if you join our email list, you’ll be the first to know the cities we’ll be coming to. And, if you’re up for a trip, you are always welcome to travel to any of our classes.

Can I request extra course materials?

If you have attended a master class, email us at to request extra materials.  


What is your cancellation policy?

For a class that you purchased directly (not a private class for your company), we don’t give refunds. However, we do understand extenuating circumstances—just one of the many things we learned from the pandemic. If you do need to cancel, contact us, and we will try to be as accommodating as we can. You can also transfer the seat to a friend or colleague for the master class you booked. Please just send us a note at so that we can update the attendee information to ensure there is no confusion during check-in.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. If you are asked to stop any harassing behavior, as determined in the Company’s sole discretion, you are expected to comply immediately. If you engage in harassing behavior, in the Company’s sole discretion, the Company and/or any of its agents may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the event with no refund, and/or contacting law enforcement. At all times during participation in the Event, whether virtually or in-person, you will act professionally in such conduct as is expected of a participant or attendee at a professional event, and Company shall have the right to expel you from the event if at any point it believes, in its sole discretion, you are not fulfilling that obligation. You agree that you will follow all instructions of any onsite property manager or other representative or agent of the Owner while on the Property.
